meanwhile, in the garden ...

The banksias are in bloom - I just love these weird plants with their phallic flowers ... and I'm not the only one.  The garden is full of birds trying to get their share!

  1. Sad, but my first reaction was 'oh, what lovely bottle brushes. And then I thought the bird was plastic, you have no idea just how exotic this is (yes even bottle brushes can be exotic if they grow on trees) can't wait to show these to R&B, you are definitely tempting us over!

  2. Curiously enough, these aren't 'bottle brushes' but banksias ... even though they look like they would be perfect for the job ...

Yesterday there was a partial eclipse of the moon shortly before dawn. I (for some reason) woke early, walked down to the beach and watched it - complete with moonshine on water, black swan and dolphins ... my only regret was that I did not take my camera to record this for you ...
